Van Gogh's bedroom and homes on stilts

    Alexanderkreidler1

    By Alexander Kreidler

This week PK, Kinder and 1st graders learned about perspective in drawing by studying Van Gogh's painting of his bedroom and then doing a bedroom of their own. Our 2nd graders needed another week to finish their Kehinde Wiley project. The 3rd graders started on 3D models of stilt houses, so stay tuned for visuals!
Next week 3A will be working on an architectural project that will last eight weeks. Three architects from the Washington Architectural Foundation will come to work with us. We have chosen "Recycled Architecture" as our theme. Each student will produce a 3D piece that will be exhibited in DC in May with work by other schools.
