Still life pastel and 3A architects!

    Ninahannifan

    By Nina Hannifan

This week all grades worked on training their artistic eyes by observing still life and recreating the fruit with chalk pastels. This was their introduction to chalk pastel this year. Even though it was quite messy, they understood the properties of the materials and ended up creating fabulous images of fruit.
Everyone is invited to see 3A's work on display at the "Architecture in the Schools" exhibition on Wednesday May 11 from 6.30-7.30 p.m. at the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington DC 20004. Do come!!
