    Marshmallows and oval shapes

    Sophie_windenhouse

    By Sophie Windenhouse
This week in the Art room, Pre-K, Kinder and 1st grade students learnt about form, lines and patterns by drawing a hot chocolate mug with marshmallows inside. We practiced oval shapes by drawing the opening of the cups and the round marshmallows.
In 2nd and 3rd grade we learnt about how to draw forms that display dimension and how to overlap objects, and the importance of space and composition in still life drawings and paintings.
