    From MLK to Kehinde Wiley

    Zz

Work by Moorea Bell from 3rd grade.

This week has been a short one due to MLK Day and the half day on Friday. PK and 1st grade finished their repeat patterns and created posters for Friday's Martin Luther King assembly, while 2nd and 3rd grade finished their Kehinde Wiley project. We learnt about the effects light and shadows have on facial features. We practiced using skin tones.

¡Gracias! We love Kehinde Wiley. He is a twin of Nigerian origin, like Miguel and Alejo.

Interesting. Both Miguel and Alejo show great interest in art. Maybe one of them will follow Kehinde's foot steps or maybe both of them?
