    Cats and green cities

    Biancamartinez2ndgrade

This week in the Art room PK and Kinder worked on geometric shapes, tracing and patterns. They created cat designs influenced by the art of Laurel Burch.
1st, 2nd and 3rd grade worked on the theme "Green Communities", brainstorming on ideas on how to keep our city Washington DC green. Students produced great drawings highlighting this theme.
3A is in their fourth week working with the architects from the Washington Architectural Foundation. This week the students and architects worked on neighborhood design, focusing on base maps and spaces.
The picture above is the work of second grader Bianca Martinez.
